EMAILED SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

When emailing submissions, send them to either brian.billings@tamut.edu, hollis.thompson@tamut.edu., or casey.purifoy@tamut.edu. Include a short cover letter in the body of your email along with your attached submission (.DOC formats only). Your cover letter should state a little about you and your publishing history (briefly!), and any other relevant information. All stories should be in standard manuscript format and submitted in .DOC format.

FOR IMAGES:

When submitting images (or art, sculpture, photography, etc.), please send via email them in jpeg format. There are no exact size  specifications but the dimensions of the journal are 9x6 inches (height and width, respectively), submit with this in consideration. Also, due to print costs, we prefer black and white work but will print exceptional color work. When submitting visual work, do provide the title of the piece, your name, media and materials, and a short artistic statement and bio.

FOR PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK:

At Aquila Review we appreciate original work and celebrate previously published works. When submitting previously published work, whether by mail or email, be sure to include information regarding its previous publication. ALSO make sure that your piece's copy rights allow it to be published again. Some publications may possess printing rights that prevent it from being published in another journal.
